I think there should be a search engine which only returns web pages that use HTML 3 or earlier. It would be a cool way to surf an older, crustier web that has been ignored for a while—like surfing the web in 1995. I'm not quite sure how it could be done without crawling the web and creating your own database, which is totally impractical for the scope of this idea. Maybe some screen scraping of google results, but that would probably take a long time to retrieve anything. Maybe it would return results from the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine... Anyone have any suggestions?
Fecal Face presents 125th Anniversary of the Internet at 111 Minna Gallery, San Francisco. Opening tonight at 5:00pm. Featuring Aiyana Udesen's most excellent Star Trek TNG Portraits!
Update: No Star Trek portraits, but there was a great one of Danny from New Kids On The Block. The show is highly recommended.
From the Infinite monkey theorem page on wikipedia:
If every atom in the Universe were a monkey producing a billion keystrokes a second from the Big Bang until today, it is still very unlikely that any monkey would get as far as "slings and arrows" in Hamlet's most famous soliloquy.

The iconfactory has a slick new redesign, and they also rebuilt their web app from the ground up with Ruby on Rails. Also check out their awesome animation archive. The redesign set is really funny.
Looking for a laptop bag? There is a good thread with lots of links at Signal vs Noise.

The City Lights bookstore keeps their Bukowski next to the register because, apparently, he is the most stolen author.
